[๋ฐฑ/White] Saturday of the Second Week of Easter. or
[ํ™/Red] Saint Martin I, Pope and Martyr.

์ž…๋‹น์†ก Introit Antiphon 1Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen people,
a royal priesthood,
a holy nation,
God's special possession,
that you may declare the praises
of him who called you out of darkness
into his wonderful light.
Alleluia.

๋ณธ๊ธฐ๋„ Collect

Lord,
By the mystery of Easter,
accomplished by the resurrection of your Son Christ,
you have destroyed the law of sin within us.
Free us also from the stain of that guilt which has been erased.
The Son lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
OR

God,
You have opened the door of your mercy
to believers through the mystery of Easter.
Look upon us with compassion and pity,
that we may not stray from the path of life,
and may always walk in the way of your will.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

์ œ 1๋…์„œ First Reading
< They chose seven men who were full of the Holy Spirit. >

โ–ฅ A reading from the Acts of the Apostles. Acts 6:1-7
As the number of disciples continued to grow,
the Hellenists complained against the Hebrews
because their widows
were being neglected in the daily distribution.
So the Twelve called together the community of the disciples and said,
“It is not right for us to neglect the word of God to serve at table.
Brothers, select from among you seven reputable men,
filled with the Spirit and wisdom,
whom we shall appoint to this task,
whereas we shall devote ourselves to prayer
and to the ministry of the word.”
The proposal was acceptable to the whole community,
so they chose Stephen, a man filled with faith and the Holy Spirit,
also Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas,
and Nicholas of Antioch, a convert to Judaism.
They presented these men to the Apostles
who prayed and laid hands on them.
The word of God continued to spread,
and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem increased greatly;
even a large group of priests were becoming obedient to the faith.

The Word of the Lord.
โ—Ž Thanks be to God.

ํ™”๋‹ต์†ก Responsorial Psalm Psalm 33:1-2, 4-5, 18-19(โ—Ž22)

โ—Ž Lord, let your mercy be on us, as we place our trust in you.
or:

โ—Ž Alleluia.
โ—‹ Exult, you just, in the LORD;
praise from the upright is fitting.
     Give thanks to the LORD on the harp;
with the ten-stringed lyre chant his praises. โ—Ž
โ—‹ Upright is the word of the LORD,
and all his works are trustworthy.
     He loves justice and right;
of the kindness of the LORD the earth is full.
 โ—Ž
โ—‹ See, the eyes of the LORD are upon those who fear him,
upon those who hope for his kindness,
     To deliver them from death
and preserve them in spite of famine.

๋ณต์Œ Gospel
< They saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming. >

โœ  The Holy Gospel according to John. Jn 6:16-21
When it was evening, the disciples of Jesus went down to the sea,
embarked in a boat, and went across the sea to Capernaum.
It had already grown dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
The sea was stirred up because a strong wind was blowing.
When they had rowed about three or four miles,
they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat,
and they began to be afraid.
But he said to them, “It is I. Do not be afraid.”
They wanted to take him into the boat,
but the boat immediately arrived at the shore
to which they were heading.

The Gospel of the Lord.
โ—Ž Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ

์˜ˆ๋ฌผ ๊ธฐ๋„ Prayer over the Gifts

Gracious Lord,
We offer you these gifts.
Make them holy and accept them as a spiritual sacrifice.
May our whole life be an offering to you, always and forever.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

๊ฐ์‚ฌ์†ก Preface
< Easter Proclamation 1: The Mystery of the Paschal >

It is truly right and just,
our duty and our salvation,
always and everywhere to give you thanks,
O Lord, holy Father, almighty and everlasting God.
But on this night, above all nights,
we are bound to praise you with joy and gladness,
for on this night Christ our Passover has been sacrificed.
He is the true Lamb who has taken away the sins of the world.
By his death he has destroyed our death,
and by his rising to life he has restored us to life.
Therefore, the whole world exults in gladness,
and the choirs of angels sing in heaven.
The redeemed rejoice on earth,
and all creation is radiant
with the splendor of your glory.

์˜์„ฑ์ฒด์†ก Communion antiphon Jn 17:24

Father,
I pray that you would bring those
you have given me to be with me
where I am, so that they may see
the glory you have given me.
Alleluia.

์˜์„ฑ์ฒด ํ›„ ๋ฌต์ƒ Meditation after Communion

< Let us pray silently for a while in union with Christ. >

์˜์„ฑ์ฒด ํ›„ ๊ธฐ๋„ Prayer after Communion

As we receive this holy sacrament,
we earnestly pray:
May this sacrament,
which the Son commanded
us to celebrate in remembrance of him,
always enable us to live out
the love of the Lord.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ,
who lives and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

์˜ค๋Š˜์˜ ๋ฌต์ƒ Today's Meditation

Today's Gospel follows the story of Jesus feeding the five thousand. Having witnessed the miraculous work of God, the crowd attempts to make Jesus king, but he withdraws to the mountain alone. In the evening, the disciples set sail for Capernaum on the other side of the lake.
A strong wind stirs up waves on the lake, yet the disciples persevere, rowing towards their destination. Suddenly, they see Jesus walking on the water and approaching their boat. They are filled with fear.
This scene beautifully mirrors our own struggles in life. When we strive towards our goals and face headwinds, Jesus is right there with us, confronting the storm and reaching out to us. He turns away from his own destination and comes towards us, struggling and afraid, saying, "It is I; do not be afraid." As soon as they take Jesus into the boat, it reaches the shore where they were heading. With Jesus, we have already reached our destination.
In contrast, today's reading describes the chaos that ensues when Jesus is absent. When signs of discontent and division arise in the community, the disciples come to their senses and realize that they must focus on prayer and ministry of the word. They recognize that their first task is to welcome Jesus into the church community, just as they welcomed him into the boat.
Anyone who has walked alone on a strange path late at night, filled with anxiety, knows the eerie fear of an unknown figure approaching from a distance. But when that figure speaks with a familiar voice, saying "It is I," fear is replaced byๅฎ‰ๅฟƒ. The presence and accompaniment of God transforms every situation, for he is peace and love in himself, offering complete salvation.
