Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time.

< Gloria > < Creed > < The faithful >

오늘 전례  Today Liturgy

Today is the 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time. God entrusts the mission of proclaiming the Gospel to our unclean lips and weak hands. Let us pray that God may guide our lives and actions through the Holy Spirit so that people may open their hearts to receive the Lord’s word and that His word may bear fruit throughout the world.

입당송  Introit Antiphon Psalm 95(94),6-7

Come, let us worship God.
Let us kneel before the Lord, our Creator.
For He is our God.

본기도  Collect

Lord,
graciously watch over Your family
and continually protect us, who rely only on heavenly grace.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, forever and ever. Amen.

제 1독서  First Reading
< Here I am; send me. >

▥ A reading from the Book of Isaiah. Isaiah 6:1-2a, 3-8
In the year King Uzziah died,
I saw the Lord seated on a high and lofty throne,
with the train of his garment filling the temple.
Seraphim were stationed above.

They cried one to the other,
"Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts!
All the earth is filled with his glory!"
At the sound of that cry, the frame of the door shook
and the house was filled with smoke.

Then I said, "Woe is me, I am doomed!
For I am a man of unclean lips,
living among a people of unclean lips;
yet my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!"
Then one of the seraphim flew to me,
holding an ember that he had taken with tongs from the altar.

He touched my mouth with it, and said,
"See, now that this has touched your lips,
your wickedness is removed, your sin purged."

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
"Whom shall I send?  Who will go for us?"
"Here I am," I said; "send me!"

The Word of the Lord.
◎ Thanks be to God.

화답송  Responsorial Psalm Psalm 138:1-2, 2-3, 4-5, 7-8(◎1c)

◎ In the sight of the angels I will sing your praises, Lord.
○ I will give thanks to you, O LORD, with all my heart,
     for you have heard the words of my mouth;
      in the presence of the angels I will sing your praise;
      I will worship at your holy temple
      and give thanks to your name. ◎
○ Because of your kindness and your truth;
       for you have made great above all things
       your name and your promise.
       When I called, you answered me;
       you built up strength within me. ◎
○ All the kings of the earth shall give thanks to you, O LORD,
       when they hear the words of your mouth;
       and they shall sing of the ways of the LORD:
       "Great is the glory of the LORD." ◎
○ Your right hand saves me.
       The LORD will complete what he has done for me;
       your kindness, O LORD, endures forever;
       forsake not the work of your hands. ◎

제 2독서  Second Reading
< This is what we all proclaim, and this is what you have come to believe. >

▥ A reading from the First Letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians. 1 Corinthians 15:1-11
I am reminding you, brothers and sisters,
of the gospel I preached to you,
which you indeed received and in which you also stand.
Through it you are also being saved,
if you hold fast to the word I preached to you,
unless you believed in vain.
For I handed on to you as of first importance what I also received:
that Christ died for our sins
in accordance with the Scriptures;
that he was buried;
that he was raised on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures;
that he appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve.
After that, Christ appeared to more
than five hundred brothers at once,
most of whom are still living,
though some have fallen asleep.
After that he appeared to James,
then to all the apostles.
Last of all, as to one born abnormally,
he appeared to me.
For I am the least of the apostles,
not fit to be called an apostle,
because I persecuted the church of God.
But by the grace of God I am what I am,
and his grace to me has not been ineffective.
Indeed, I have toiled harder than all of them;
not I, however, but the grace of God that is with me.
Therefore, whether it be I or they,
so we preach and so you believed.

The Word of the Lord.
◎ Thanks be to God.

복음  환호송  Alleluia Matthew 4:19

◎ Alleluia, alleluia.
○ Come after me and I will make you fishers of men.

◎ Alleluia, alleluia.

복음  Gospel
< They left everything and followed Jesus. >

✠ The Holy Gospel according to Luke. Luke 5:1-11
While the crowd was pressing in on Jesus and listening
to the word of God,
he was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret.
He saw two boats there alongside the lake;
the fishermen had disembarked and were washing their nets.
Getting into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon,
he asked him to put out a short distance from the shore.
Then he sat down and taught the crowds from the boat.
After he had finished speaking, he said to Simon,
"Put out into deep water and lower your nets for a catch."
Simon said in reply,
"Master, we have worked hard all night and have caught nothing,
but at your command I will lower the nets."
When they had done this, they caught a great number of fish
and their nets were tearing.
They signaled to their partners in the other boat
to come to help them.
They came and filled both boats
so that the boats were in danger of sinking.
When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at the knees of Jesus and said,
"Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man."
For astonishment at the catch of fish they had made seized him
and all those with him,
and likewise James and John, the sons of Zebedee,
who were partners of Simon.
Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid;
from now on you will be catching men."
When they brought their boats to the shore,
they left everything and followed him.

The Gospel of the Lord.
◎ Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ

보편 지향 기도  General Intercessions
< It is preferable for each community to prepare its own prayers.

1. Let us pray for the Church.
Lord, our hope, You have called the Church to be fishers of men. As You commanded Your disciples, may we also remember and lead many people to You.
2. Let us pray for world leaders.
Lord of reconciliation, enlighten the leaders of the world with Your word, that they may prioritize the life and stability of their people and work for global peace.
3. Let us pray for the poor.
Merciful Lord, look upon the poor who rely solely on You, grant them peace of heart, and may we, their neighbors, willingly share our food with them.
4. Let us pray for the parish community.
Lord of unity, enrich our parish community with Your grace, and lead us to respond to Your call through the various ministries, working together in Your service.

예물 기도  Prayer over the Gifts

Lord God,
You have provided us with bread and wine to sustain us in this life.

May this offering become for us the sacrament of eternal life.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray.

감사송  Preface
< Preface for the 1st Sunday in Ordinary Time:
 The Paschal Mystery and the People of God >

Holy Father, almighty and eternal God,
we give You thanks always and everywhere through our Lord Jesus Christ.
It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation,
that we should always give You thanks,
that You have called us from sin and death
to be a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, Your own people.
Through the Paschal Mystery, we proclaim Your mighty works,
calling the world to Your marvelous light.
Therefore, with angels and archangels,
with all the heavenly hosts,
we join in the unending hymn of Your glory,
as we acclaim:

영성체송  Communion antiphon Psalm 107(106),8-9 or Matthew 5,4.6

Give thanks to the Lord for His goodness,
for the wonders He does for the children of men.
He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
< or >

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.

영성체 후 묵상  Meditation after Communion

Peter, the Apostle, firmly believing in the words of Jesus, cast out into the deep and let down the nets. When he saw the result, he was amazed and fell to his knees before Jesus, saying, "Lord, I am a sinful man." If you have not believed in vain, you are saved by this Gospel.

< Let us take a moment to pray in our hearts, united with Christ. >

영성체 후 기도  Prayer after Communion

Having shared in the same bread and the same cup,
may we be united in Christ and willingly lead the way in the salvation of humanity.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray.

오늘의 묵상  Today's Meditation

Today’s two readings and the Gospel present a story between a calling and a sending. In other words, they show how God’s grace works in the process from being called to receiving a mission.
When a person stands before the holiness that transcends them, they inevitably become aware of their sinful nature. Isaiah, whose name means "Yahweh saves," saw the glory of the Lord sitting on His throne, and in the presence of that holiness, he recognized the impurity of his own lips. The mouth, being the central tool of the prophet’s calling, being unclean would be a fundamental obstacle. However, after being purified with a burning coal from the altar, Isaiah responds even before receiving the Lord’s call, saying, “Here I am; send me” (Isaiah 6:8), and he actively steps forward.
Experienced fisherman Simon, after an entire night of catching nothing, obeys Jesus’ word and catches so many fish that the nets begin to break. Confronted with Jesus' divine authority, he is filled with fear and asks Jesus to depart from him, recognizing himself as a sinful man. But Jesus reassures him with the words, "Do not be afraid" (Luke 5:10), purifying him and calling him to a new mission. Simon and his companions then "left everything" (5:11) to follow Jesus.
Paul, who once persecuted the Church and considered himself a "misfit" (1 Corinthians 15:8), was cleansed by the grace of encountering the risen Christ, and he confesses that it is by that grace that he is who he is today, saying, "I am what I am" (15:10).
In our own journey from being called to being sent, let us entrust ourselves to the grace that purifies us, preparing us to respond—not because of our worthiness, but because of God’s grace that transforms and sends us on our mission.
