์ž…๋‹น์†ก  Introit Antiphon Psalm 18:50; 22:23

Lord,
I will praise you among the nations,
and I will sing praises to your name among my brothers.
Hallelujah!

๋ณธ๊ธฐ๋„  Collect

Lord,
Through the resurrection of your Son,
you have restored the dignity of humanity
and given us the hope of resurrection.
Grant that we may celebrate this mystery,
which we celebrate each year in faith,
with love and understanding.
Through Christ our Lord, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.…….

์ œ 1๋…์„œ  First Reading
< The men you put in prison are now teaching
the people in the temple. >

โ–ฅ  A reading from the Acts of the Apostles. Acts 5:17-26
The high priest rose up and all his companions,
that is, the party of the Sadducees,
and, filled with jealousy,
laid hands upon the Apostles and put them in the public jail.
But during the night, the angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison,
led them out, and said,
“Go and take your place in the temple area,
and tell the people everything about this life.”
When they heard this,
they went to the temple early in the morning and taught.
When the high priest and his companions arrived,
they convened the Sanhedrin,
the full senate of the children of Israel,
and sent to the jail to have them brought in.
But the court officers who went did not find them in the prison,
so they came back and reported,
“We found the jail securely locked
and the guards stationed outside the doors,
but when we opened them, we found no one inside.”
When the captain of the temple guard and the chief priests heard this report,
they were at a loss about them,
as to what this would come to.
Then someone came in and reported to them,
“The men whom you put in prison are in the temple area
and are teaching the people.”
Then the captain and the court officers went and brought them,
but without force,
because they were afraid of being stoned by the people.

The Word of the Lord.

โ—Ž Alleluia.
โ—‹ I will bless the LORD at all times;

โ—‹ Glorify the LORD with me,

๋ณต์Œ  Gospel
< For God so loved the world that he gave
is one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not
perish but have eternal life. >

โœ  The Holy Gospel according to John. Jn 3:16-21
God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son,
so that everyone who believes in him might not perish
but might have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world might be saved through him.
Whoever believes in him will not be condemned,
but whoever does not believe has already been condemned,
because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.
And this is the verdict,
that the light came into the world,
but people preferred darkness to light,
because their works were evil.
For everyone who does wicked things hates the light
and does not come toward the light,
so that his works might not be exposed.
But whoever lives the truth comes to the light,
so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.

The Gospel of the Lord.

์˜ˆ๋ฌผ ๊ธฐ๋„  Prayer over the Gifts

O God,
Through this sacred exchange of sacrifice,
you have made us one with yourself,
who are one and most high.
Grant that we may understand
and live out the holy truth.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

๊ฐ์‚ฌ์†ก  Preface
< Easter Proclamation 1: The Mystery of the Paschal >

It is truly right and just,
our duty and our salvation,
always and everywhere to give you thanks,
O Lord, holy Father, almighty and everlasting God.
But on this night, above all nights,
we are bound to praise you with joy and gladness,
for on this night Christ our Passover has been sacrificed.
He is the true Lamb who has taken away the sins of the world.
By his death he has destroyed our death,
and by his rising to life he has restored us to life.
Therefore, the whole world exults in gladness,
and the choirs of angels sing in heaven.
The redeemed rejoice on earth,
and all creation is radiant
with the splendor of your glory.

์˜์„ฑ์ฒด์†ก  Communion antiphon John 15:16, 19

The Lord says:
I have chosen you out of the world
and appointed you to go and bear fruit,
fruit that will last.
Alleluia!

Lord,
You have filled us with the grace of this holy mystery.
Mercifully help us
to put away our old life and live a new life.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.

์˜ค๋Š˜์˜ ๋ฌต์ƒ  Today's Meditation

The Conversation Between Jesus and Nicodemus Continues: A Deeper Look
The dialogue between Jesus and Nicodemus in John 3 holds profound significance, encapsulating core tenets of Christian theology. This passage highlights three key themes: God's love, salvation, and light.

God's Love:
The verse "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son" (John 3:16) emphasizes the immense love God has for humanity. This love is not merely a sentimental feeling, but rather a transformative and sacrificial act, demonstrated by the gift of Jesus Christ.
Salvation:
God's love is not only expressed in giving His Son, but also in the purpose of His Son's mission: "that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Jesus came to save humanity from sin and death, offering the gift of eternal life to all who believe.
Light:
The theme of light is interwoven throughout the passage. Jesus refers to Himself as the "light of the world" (John 8:12), and those who follow Him are described as "children of light" (John 12:36). Salvation is portrayed as a journey from darkness to light, from sin to righteousness.
The Apostles' Example:
The narrative of the apostles imprisoned in the night and miraculously released by an angel (Acts 5:17-20) serves as a powerful illustration of this journey from darkness to light. Despite facing persecution, the apostles remained steadfast in their faith and continued to proclaim the gospel message.
The Transformative Power of Light:
Just as a small light can illuminate a dark space, drawing all living things towards it, the light of Christ has the power to transform individual lives and radiate hope in a world shrouded in darkness. God's love and salvation are not abstract concepts, but rather tangible experiences that manifest in the lives of believers, illuminating the path towards eternal life.
